Our sweet boy, Brian, was diagnosed with Ataxia-Telangiectasia, a horrendous disease in August of 2014. Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, AIDS, and cancer.
We feel as though we are racing a clock and praying that the research finds some form of a cure. As a parent, you always want to fix anything terrible that happens to your child. In this situation we are helpless and feel lost. All we can do is hope, pray and help fund the research. Your contribution and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Perhaps together we can raise awareness and raise the funds needed to provide a cure for Brian and the other children living with this devastating disease. Every penny will help fund the search for a cure. Help strengthen our hope and preserve the quality of life for children battling A-T.
The A-T Children's Project does work that provides us with hope and strength. We support them by raising money to help find a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T).
Please help us help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people who know about the A-T Children's Project, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity. It means a lot!
Brian is aware of A-T at this time. He understands that there is something called A-T in his body that makes it difficult for his brain and his muscles to communicate. It is up to him if he wants to share this with his friends. For that reason, please refrain from sharing this with your children.
